Conceptual rendering of the octagonal Junction Trails Building. Each entry will be dedicated to a seperate trail. The second floor will hold offices and classrooms, and a banquet hall will be on the top floor. The stone work is consistent with historic buildings in Milford.

Revised sketch of the Botanical Gardens, looking at the north face with the waterfalls. The ramps along the sides make the facility wheel-chair accessible. One should have a beautiful view of the Little Miami River from the top of the building. CLICK TO ENLARGE

Preliminary logo sketches by Joe Tipton, mostly focusing on an 8-spoked water wheel as a symbol for 8 trails meeting at the octagonal Junction Trails Building. The "JTP" ambigram (reads the same upside-down or right-side up) in the bottom right caught some attention, too.
Preliminary logo sketches by Brendan Donovan. Brendan figured out that a stylized compass looks like a figure "8", and that the compass rose has 8 points radiating from its center.
The ideas were combined, and the lettering was inspired by the festive Michelob Pale Ale and Porter logotypes. The typeface, Garamond, was chosen for its stylistic, and archaic, "ct" ligature (two letter forms joined to form one), which extends the theme of joining paths.
The design in the background is created using "JTP" ambigrams held together in an octagonal pattern
